The pools are supplied with thermal waters containing sulphate, bicorbanate and calcium at a temperature of 39°C, in a flow-through fresh water system to guarantee hygiene and safety. The temperature of the water in the pool is between 33 and 36°C.
The name of the thermal bath complex “THEIA – The bath of the Etruscans”, which opened on the 10th of August 2013, evokes the historical roots of the location, which the Etruscans called Sillene. In fact, the name derives from the Titaness of the light, Theia, “she who shines into the distance”, the mother of Selene in Etruscan mythology.
L’acqua Sillene è ricca di anidride carbonica, carbonato di calcio, bicarbonato e solfati; tale ricchezza di minerali determina la tipica opacità dell’acqua. L’acqua Sillene delle piscine termali, svolgono funzioni antiinfiammatorie osteoarticolari e muscolo-tendinee. Per la presenza di bicarbonato, calcio e solfati ha azione eutrofica sulla cute e quindi ha effetti terapeutici sulle patologie più comuni della pelle (dermatiti seborroiche, dermatite atopica ecc.)

Yes. Entry for children up the the age of three is free and they can bathe in the pool reserved for them in the spaces dedicated to them, such as the Grotta Umida (wet cave) and the Grotta Secca (dry cave). Children between the ages of 3 and 12 pay a reduced rate. Children must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
Use of the thermal baths is not advised for patients who have undergone cardiac surgery, surgery for cancer or who have epilepsy, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or neoplasms.
The new thermal complexhas 4 external pools and 3 internal pools, which are all connected, plus the covered pool reserved for children.

The total surface area of water is 536.57 metres squared; the body of water of the internal baths is 119 metres squared. The complex is completed by ample green spaces.
There are dedicated lockers which are activated using an electronic bracelet (called a transponder). These are given upon entry and can also be used to make purchases inside the thermal complex, for example at the bar.
The internal and external pool areas are complete with deckchairs, sunbeds, sushades, tables, chairs and poufs which are free to use.
Yes, there is a bar that offers hot and cold food. It is not possible to bring food from outside.
Yes, all the pools have water features, hydromassage jets with seats, and 3 “swan necks” for water jets on the neck,and a “well”, water feature.
Being a thermal establishment, medical assistance is always guaranteed.
Everything needed to go swimming, a costume, flip-flips, a towel, bathrobe and swimming cap. Costumes, swimming caps and flip-flips are for sale in the hall and bathrobes can be rented.
