The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center through UPMC Italy, in Rome, Palermo and Chianciano Terme - where it was built a clinical institute that offers preventive medicine programs and high-level diagnostics, even colonoscopy- became a shareholder partner of Terme di Chianciano.
The partnership with UPMC is strategic, because it brings in Tuscany quality health services in particular the ones of preventive medicine.
The Chianciano diagnostic center UPMC is being enriched with a new rehabilitation gym (also active in research), a modern and therapeutic structure built in collaboration with Technogym (other internationally renowned partner), to the cardiac rehabilitation service, neurological and sports medicine.
At the same time during 2017 spring, Theia swimmng pools will be enriched by a special thermal area children and families.
Thermal pools Theia, opened just three years ago have already registered over 100 thousand accesses. These, carry a name linked to the Etruscan goddess of light and are being developed with kid friendly projects: a dedicated area for families and devoted to young customers.
Nevertheless, in a new wellness center there will be a reserved area specifically for children (4 years old or above) containing a "thermarium" with circular saunas and a turkish bath with light temperatures while teenagers will have another area. It has also been planned the construction of two children's pools, one outside and one inside.
